Out of the Woodwork 2006

Carlisle, PA: May 19-21, 2006

‘Out of the Woodwork’ for this year has now come and gone, and we survived the first major change in location in over 20 years, not to mention change in time of year as well.    This year’s event was held as part of the internationally famous Import/Kit/Replicar Nationals at the Carlisle Fairgrounds in Carlisle Pennsylvania which draws some 18-20,000 people every year.

TVR made a grand showing in its first time out in this event by drawing 42 TVRs on the showfield on Saturday, a number eclipsed only by the Saab Club.   We had an excellent array of cars on hand from Granturas to 450SEs and this display allowed hundreds, and even thousands, of people to see the TVR marque who may never have seen one up close before.

Our host hotel this year was the Hotel Carlisle where the banquet was held on Saturday evening.   This was a more relaxed event than in years past and there were far more activities available throughout the weekend for everyone to participate in, ranging from tours of the countryside, autocrosses, dyno tests, displays of many varieties, seminars, vendors galore, and much much more.

The balloting in the TVR class was conducted on Saturday with awards presented on Saturday evening at the banquet.  Here’s a rundown of the top finishers in each class, as well as some other awards that were presented by TVRCCNA President Marshall Moore:
