Out of the Woodwork 2011

Princeton, NJ: September 30-October 2, 2011

Well another Woodwork is in the bag. I must say that for a completely new hotel and park venue, it went amazingly smoothly. There were a few little blips, but they have been addressed.

The River Ramble went very well and despite some wrong turns here and there everybody made it to the Brew Pub and had a great meal. Then more touring ending up at our house for some relaxing down time. We had a very informal board meeting at which some issues were brought up and work was started on addressing them. Then back to the hotel. Some of our membership went to Hopewell’s Cruise Night. Back at the hotel it was relax and meeting with old friends.

At the park the weather gods smiled on us the whole day, even though sometimes it looked as though it was going to rain any second. The food vendor this year was new, and I didn't hear a single complaint. Our Woodworkers ( in the red Tees) helped get things ready at the park and when the gates opened directed cars to their proper parking/class spaces. The final total for TVRs was 39 with a smattering of MGs, Healys, and other Brit car. The count was up from last year, but I feel still could be better. I'm sure the weather was a factor in that. Hayden Olenik manned our new regalia tent. We did about $500 in regalia sales.

Thanks Candace!!!

A special thanks goes out to Colin Lyons for taking the time to come over from the UK and being our auctioneer and Kash Biddle for his very generous auction bid.
